Annapurna South (on the left), Hiunchuli (in the middle) and Machapuchare (or Fishtail) on the right. Oil painting on cradled timber panels, 92 x 31cm. For a private client who worked (and walked in the mountains) extensively in Nepal before settling in London.

I loved Nepal and returned to spend 15 days walking in the Himalayas - from Lukla to Everest Base Camp, over Chola Pass and back through the Gokyo Valley, a string of turquoise lakes next to the biggest glacier in Nepal (Ngozumpa). Back down to the tree line with a fresh fall of snow. Such a beautiful country and such hospitable people. One day I’ll be back again, next time to Annapurna!
