6 Babmaes Street is a social workspace in St James's for The Crown Estate. My artwork was specified by Fathom Architects in various spaces throughout the building. The triptych above was specially commissioned with a brief ‘to suit a 70s inspired interior’. There are design elements from the 70s that we see again and again, I combined these in a more contemporary way and used techniques to age the surface to make a piece that feels of the 70s but also timeless. Monotone seascapes were chosen for the ground floor and botanical pieces and smaller abstracts elsewhere in the building. This interior has been recognised in numerous awards for best workplace design.

‘It makes the room’

‘Thank you Sophie, your paintings complement the space beautifully’

‘…and it’s even more stunning close up.’
